Tabbed content
Sometimes it's useful to be able to include a lot of content on the same page. However, if everything is presented together, this can be difficult to navigate - users can end up having to scroll up and down and page to find what they're looking for.
Tabs provide a handy way round this. The content is broken into sections, and users can move easily between them by clicking the tabs at the top of the page.
This page uses the Mosaic advanced tabs widget, which means that other content types can be included inside tabs. Here, for example, an accordion has been used to add an FAQ section.
That's right!
Yes - you can add an image gallery. See the next tab for an example.
That's very much a stylistic decision: sometimes it will be preferable to have everything grouped together on one page, and sometimes separate pages will be better.
Tabs allow your users to navigate without having to go back to the menu each time. If you have a number of sections that all have several sub-sections, this can be be quicker and easier. It also sends a message about how closely related various aspects of the content are to each other.
You can. If you click on a tab, you'll see the URL change - that URL can be used to go directly to that tab. For example, this link leads straight to the image gallery tab on this page.
You'll notice that if an accordion section like this one is expanded, the URL also changes. This means that you can provide a link to a page with a particular accordion section already expanded - even if that accordion section is inside a tab.
Tables can be used to display structured information.
However, if you have a substantial quantity of tabular data that you'd like your users to be able to search, filter, or download, it may be worth exploring other options for displaying this: contact researchsupport@it.ox.ac.uk if you'd like to discuss this further.

Simple feedback form
Simple feedback forms like the one below can be added to Mosaic sites.
You can use this form to send us any queries about this site, or about getting a Mosaic site for a research group or project.
Custom webform
Mosaic also allows users to create custom webforms, such as the one below. This feature is not enabled by default: details of how to request that it be turned on (and how to use the feature once you have it) are available via the documentation section of the Mosaic website.
